The Grazing for Profit course examines the main areas of your agricultural business (Land,
Livestock, People & Money issues) and provides a holistic insight into the many factors
that affect your business including the impact of climate variability and ways of taking
control of your business by working in-sync with your resources. The program deals with
each concept independently as well as integrating them to ensure the most appropriate
decision making is achieved.
The course fee is $3950 (1st person), $3,250 (2nd person) - with further discounts
available for further members from the same family or business who attend the same school.
There is a $500 deposit payable for each participant upon registration, with the balance of
fees due and payable 14 days prior to the course commencing. The course fees cover all
tuition costs, extensive notes, a catering package (all morning/afternoon teas and lunches
and two evening meals) and field trip expenses. You are responsible for your own
accommodation, travel and extra catering costs.
A pre-work package is forwarded to you when you register. This package includes a book to
read and some exercises to complete before attending the course. If possible, it is best to
register at least 4 weeks prior to allow adequate preparation time.
The course has been approved under the FarmReady Reimbursement Grant. This program is
offering landholders, their immediate family and their managers$1500 per person per year
toward the course fees and an additional $500 pp toward direct expensessuch as travel,
accommodation, meals and childcare.
