A report from Wildlife Research 32, published in 2005. The efficacy of Judas Goats is often impaired by their fertility; females that are pregnant or which become impregnated leave the herd to give birth, while males may impregnate feral females that remain unmustered. This report notes on how Judas Goat efficacy may be increased by ther sterilization of Judas Goats prior to release.
